A natural and archaeological park covering the vicinity of Matera and protecting the local mountain landscapes, archaeological sites and rock churches. In 2007 it was added to the UNESCO list to the entry covering the Sassi district. Its area is made available by hiking trails that lead to viewpoints and churches hidden in the rocks.
