Basílica de San Pietro al Monte

The architectural complex in the Romanesque style consists of three buildings: a basilica, a chapel and a monastery. Legend has it that the abbey was founded in 772, but the first records come from the 9th century. Two stone portals testify to the former Benedictine presence in this place. The impressive series of frescoes in the basilica also deserves attention.
