Museo en Paestum

The archaeological park entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List was established on the site of the Greek city of Poseidonia, founded in the 7th century BC. Among the preserved objects, the most impressive are the temples of Poseidon, Hera and Athena. The city was built by the inhabitants of the colony of Sybaris, known for their love of luxury (hence the present term sybarite).
