Reserva Natural Regional Monterano

The reserve area includes the remains of the fascinating "dead city" of Monterano, abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century. Several famous films have been shot in the area, such as Ben-Hur (1959) with Charlton Heston. The ruins from the Etruscan period, ravines and sulfur springs are also under protection.
