This Romanesque cathedral was consecrated by Pope Urban II as early as 1089 and its construction was completed in 1143. It is very similar to the Basilica of St. Nicholas in Bari. Inside you can find mosaic fragments from 1178, a wooden choir from 1594 and beautiful paintings from the 18th century. One of the chapels is also the burial place of St. Theodore Amasei, patron saint of Brindisi.
