Piazza Risorgimento

The main city square in Avezzano, designed and built in the 1920s and 1930s. It is a symbol of the city's rebirth after it was destroyed in the earthquake of 1915. The Cathedral dei Marsi stands on its shorter sides, and the fountain on the opposite side.
