Lefkada is a resort town on the island of the same name. It is a charming town with low-rise buildings, many restaurants and taverns and a yacht port.
Although the city is not one of the most important resorts on the island, you can always meet many tourists here. In the neighborhood there are typical holiday resorts of Agios Ioannis and Agia Marina with sandy beaches.
In Lefkada, you can easily find a place for a meal or evening fun. Especially many restaurants are concentrated on the main street and the port. A big attraction of Lefkada is the building of the former town hall, which now houses the Archaeological Museum and the Folklore Museum.
A short distance from Lefkada you will find the most famous and appreciated beach on the island, Porto Katsiki, famous for its bright sand and high rocky cliffs. It can be reached by a cruise boat from the port.
