The 300-meter long sandy beach has many pristine coves and a gently sloping sea bottom, suitable for children to play. In the vicinity of the beach, there are taverns famous for the whole of Crete, offering traditional kakaviai bouillabaisse fish soups. It is also worth visiting the nearby ruins of the Minoan settlement.
