West Bromwich is an industrial city that belongs to the Black Country region established in the 19th century. It is surrounded by vast green areas that are perfect for recreation and active tourism.

Although the town has medieval roots, it was a small trading center until the second half of the 18th century. However, after the discovery of coal and iron ore deposits in the area, smelters began to appear here, and over time the city specialized in steel production. Currently, after a period of stagnation in the second half of the 20th century, it is returning to its prime as a service, production and new technology center.

The buildings in West Bromwich are primarily from the nineteenth century, associated with the construction boom from the period of the greatest economic development. The Oak House, which now houses a museum, stands out against this background. It is a framework building from the Tudor times with a distinctive black and white facade.

The main attractions of West Bromwich include the city's surroundings, which are comprised of numerous green spaces. The most important of them is Sandwell Valley Park, where you can watch water birds, walk and cycle. It is home to Forge Mill Farm, an area of a former farm with ponds, dikes and grasslands. Dartmouth Park is also very popular.
