Bushmills is a village close to one of Northern Ireland's greatest attractions, the Giant's Causeway. Old Bushmills, one of the most famous whiskey distilleries in the region, is also located here.

The town is developing mainly as a tourist center and a base for tourists coming to the Giant's Causeway. It is an unusual rock formation made up of thousands of polygonal basalt columns. Legend has it that the dyke is part of the passage that the two giants of Northern Ireland and Scotland began to build across the 30 km wide sea here. The dike is the biggest attraction of Bushmills, attracting thousands of tourists each year. There are walking routes around it, from which you can admire the cliff coast.

Bushmills itself is dominated by modern or nineteenth-century buildings with low-rise houses, in which there are guesthouses, bars and pubs. The Old Bushmills Distillery, founded in 1785, is situated on the outskirts. Its historic interiors are available for guided tours. During the trip you can learn the secrets of whiskey production and the history of the plant. The town and Grobla Olbrzyma are connected by a road and the Giant's Causeway & Bushmills Railway, which operates in summer.

The coast around Bushmills is very varied, full of coves and capes as well as rocky cliffs. On many of them you can see the ruins of medieval castles. The ruins of Dunluce Castle are the most impressive, and the much smaller but beautifully situated ruins of Dunseverick Castle attract many photographers.
