Museo del castillo de Murnau

The museum focuses on presenting the history of the city and the development of the Murnau artistic colony operating in the first thirty years of the 20th century. There is a large collection of works by Gabriele Münter and artists from the New Munich movement, including Wassily Kandinsky. In addition, the exhibition presents memorabilia of the playwright Odona von Horváth and items showing the life of the city's inhabitants in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
